Wisdom Amobi is a physical and versatile rugby forward from South Africa, currently representing Otto du Plessis High School. Comfortable at lock, flanker, and number 8, Wisdom brings a strong defensive presence, high work rate, and excellent game awareness.

Known for his ability to disrupt opposition lineouts—particularly stealing ball in defensive situations—he consistently impacts the game without possession. He is also highly effective under kick-offs, regularly competing in the air and regaining territory for his team.

A reliable and aggressive tackler, Wisdom is recognised for his physicality and commitment across the field. His energy, discipline, and team-first mentality make him a valuable asset in both 15s and 7s formats, where he has also captained his side to tournament success.

Wisdom has earned multiple honours, including Forward Player of the Year and 1st XV Team of the Year, and has competed in leading South African rugby festivals such as the Graeme, Bergsig, and Despatch Rugby Festivals. He was also named Man of the Match in the Metro Rugby Series, where his team finished as champions.

Off the field, Wisdom is a well-rounded individual and Class Captain, currently studying Networking Systems through Boston City Campus. He has also been recognised academically through STEM selection, merit awards, and strong performance in Tourism.

Wisdom has joined the BRUSA Sports Fall 2026 recruitment class and is looking to pursue opportunities to study and play rugby in the USA, continuing his development both academically and athletically.
