Originally from Cape Town, South Africa, Tyler attended Milnerton High School and developed a reputation as a reliable, hardworking goalkeeper with strong shot-stopping ability, leadership qualities, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

After initially beginning his collegiate career at Oakland City University, Tyler faced an unexpected challenge when the university closed its doors. Rather than allowing the setback to derail his ambitions, Tyler demonstrated resilience and determination throughout the transfer process, securing a new opportunity at Boyce College.

His journey highlights one of the most valuable lessons student-athletes learn through international sport and education pathways: the ability to adapt, overcome challenges, and continue moving forward.
