Fall 2028 Water Polo Recruit

Taylor Dukes is a Fall 2028 water polo recruit from South Africa. She competes for the St Stithians Girls’ College First Team in Johannesburg.

Taylor started playing water polo in Grade 8 and quickly progressed through the school system. By Grade 9, she had earned a place on the school’s First Team.

In addition, Taylor has represented Gauteng at provincial level. She won the Inter Provincial Tournament with both the Gauteng U15A and U16A teams.

Water Polo Career

Taylor’s development accelerated during Grade 9. She competed for the St Stithians U15A team during an undefeated season.

The team won the Shaun Fuchs Tournament, Collegiate Tournament and Cup of Honour. As a result, St Stithians named them Sports Team of the Year.

Taylor then progressed to the St Stithians First Team during Grade 9. Furthermore, she represented the Gauteng U15A team, helping them win the Inter Provincial Tournament.

First Team & Provincial Success

Taylor retained her First Team position throughout Grade 10. The team finished the year ranked number one after an impressive season.

Her Grade 10 achievements included:

• St Anne’s Tournament Champions
• St Stithians Stayers Champions
• Reef Cup Champions
• 2nd – Prestige Cup
• 2nd – Old Petrians
• 4th – Brian Baker Tournament
• 2nd – U16 Durban Girls’ College Tournament
• Match MVP at the U16 Durban Girls’ College Tournament
• Water Polo Half Colours
• Gauteng U16A selection
• Inter Provincial Tournament Champion with Gauteng U16A

Furthermore, the Gauteng U16A team remained undefeated throughout the Inter Provincial Tournament.

Taylor also represented Stingrays Academy at club level during this period.

Continued First Team Development

Taylor retained her St Stithians First Team position as she entered Grade 11.

The team remained undefeated during the preliminary stage of the 2026 Prestige Cup. They also finished fifth at the Brian Baker Tournament, losing only once on penalties.

In addition, St Stithians finished third at the 2026 National Aquatics event. Taylor also competed for the school’s First Team Swimming Team during the event.

Her continued development makes Taylor an exciting Fall 2029 water polo recruit to follow over the coming seasons.

Academic Profile

Taylor combines her water polo commitments with consistently strong academics.

Across Grades 8, 9 and 10, she maintained an academic GPA score between 8.7 and 8.94. Therefore, she brings a strong academic record alongside her athletic achievements.

Fall 2029 Recruitment

Taylor will graduate from St Stithians Girls’ College in December 2028. She is currently working with BRUSA Sports as she prepares for the U.S. university recruitment process.
